  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy emphasizes being present in the moment with openness, curiosity, and non-judgment. In sessions, mindfulness may appear as informal practices or simply as an integrated, grounding presence—no formal training required. This approach is highly effective in managing stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation, as well as enhancing self-awareness, resilience, and relational healing.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based trauma therapy developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro. This 8-phase approach helps reprocess distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation techniques, such as guided eye movements or tapping, to support the brain’s natural healing process. EMDR is highly effective for PTSD, trauma recovery, anxiety, phobias, and depression, allowing individuals to move beyond stuck memories and regain emotional balance. Sessions are available both in-person and online.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps recalibrate the inner system by recognizing the protective parts developed in response to painful life experiences. This transformative approach, developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, allows individuals to heal deep emotional wounds, reduce self-sabotage, and restore inner harmony. IFS therapy is widely used for trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation while integrating insights from family systems therapy, experiential modalities, and mindfulness practices.

  • Attachment-Focused Therapy explores how early relationship experiences shape self-perception, emotional needs, and connection patterns. By identifying and processing past wounds, relational triggers, and attachment styles, this approach fosters trust, emotional safety, and intimacy. Therapy focuses on building healthier, more secure relationships, improving communication, and healing past attachment wounds to create a strong foundation for meaningful connections.

  • Gestalt Therapy is an active and experiential approach that focuses on personal responsibility, self-awareness, and emotional integration. By exploring how past experiences and relational patterns influence present thoughts and behaviors, this approach fosters greater insight, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Techniques like role-playing, dialogue, and creative exercises help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges reconnect with their inner experiences and move toward wholeness.

  • Liberation-Focused Therapy explores the impact of personal, generational, and systemic experiences on identity, self-worth, and healing. This approach integrates reflection, mindfulness, and somatic practices to help individuals release internalized oppression, reconnect with cultural and ancestral wisdom, and reclaim personal power. The goal is to foster resilience, authenticity, and balance, supporting individuals in navigating societal pressures while embracing their true selves.

I acknowledge that some techniques I employ incorporate elements from indigenous, spiritual, and Eastern traditions that have been popularized through a Western cultural lens, and I work with clients in ways that thoughtfully respect their unique contexts as part of my liberation-focused approach.
